In 2015 the choir invited local radio presenter Paul Robey to be the choir's patron. If you've not met him yet here's a little bit about him and the great work he does in and around Nottingham. Born in Clifton, Paul got his professional break at Radio Trent in 1982, working alongside Dale Winton! From there, he moved into radio management, running stations like GEM-AM and Classic Gold. He also set up Saga Radio in the East Midlands. These days, Paul can be heard on BBC Radio Nottingham, principally with “Nostalgia and Nonsense” Sunday afternoons 12-4pm on BBC Radio Nottingham. Additionally, he hosts a daily show with online station Serenade Radio weekdays 1-3pm. You can find out more about Paul on his twitter feed here or his BBC profile page here. A big thank you to our new friends at Tideswell Male Voice Choir for organising Saturday's concert in Buxton. Great concert, great acoustics...and the afterglow across the road was pretty special too! Thanks chaps. Hope to see you in Nottingham in the near future.
